The lawyer for Justin Baldoni, the It Ends With Us director and actor who’s in an ongoing legal battle with co-star Blake Lively, believes that a character in Deadpool & Wolverine was used to mock Baldoni. The character, “Nicepool,” was played by Ryan Reynolds.
A thread posted by Twitter user @spiritualshift_ outlined how the Nicepool character in Deadpool & Wolverine was use to make fun of It Ends With Us director and star Justin Baldoni, and Baldoni’s lawyer seems to agree.
The ongoing drama between Lively/Reynolds and Baldoni stems from Lively filing a lawsuit against him alleging sexual harassment. According to Lively’s lawsuit, Baldoni created a hostile work environment on the set of It Ends With Us and masterminded a subsequent smear campaign to damage Lively’s reputation.
We brought you the full story earlier this week but you can check out some of the viral thread below.

“What I make of that, is that if your wife is sexually harassed, you don’t make fun of Justin Baldoni. There’s no question it relates to Justin. I mean, anybody that watched that hair bun — if somebody is seriously sexually harassed, you don’t make fun of it. It’s a serious issue,” Freedman told Megyn Kelly.
In addition to Nicepool wearing a hairstyle similar to one that Baldoni once wore, the character also made comments that could be interpreted as jabs at Baldoni.
“In here, everybody calls me Nicepool. Oh my goodness, wait ’till you see Ladypool [played by Lively]. She is gorgeous. She just had a baby too, and you can’t even tell,” Nicepool tells Deadpool and Wolverine.
“I don’t think you can say that,” says Deadpool, prompting Nicepool to respond, “That’s okay, I identify as a feminist.”
Lively has accused Baldoni of fat-shaming, while Baldoni co-hosts The Man Enough podcast, which “explores what it means to be a man today and how rigid gender roles have affected all people.”
