Twitch prohibits sexually explicit content, but streaming from a hot tub or pool provides the streamers with a loophole, while racking up thousands of views.

The hot tub meta phenomenon has been utilized by Twitch streamers such as Spoopy Kitt, XoAeriel, and Amouranth. However, other Twitch streamers have called for an end of hot tuba meta practice.

Why Did Amouranth Get Demonetized On Twitch?

Amouranth was demonetized on Twitch, according to the gamer. Amouranth, who is the 22nd most popular Twitch streamer, said her account was stripped of the ability to profit from advertisement revenue.

“Yesterday I was informed that Twitch has Indefinitely Suspended Advertising on my channel Twitch didn’t reach out in any way whatsoever,” Siragusa wrote on her Twitter account, which has over 1.2 million followers. “I had to initiate the conversation after noticing, without any prior warning, all the ads revenue had disappeared from my Channel Analytics.”

“This is an ALARMING precedent and serves as a stark warning that although content may not ostensibly break community guidelines or Terms of service, Twitch has complete discretion to target individual channels & partially or wholly demonetized them for content that is deemed ‘not advertiser friendly,’ something that there is no communicated guideline for,” Amouranth said on Tuesday. “This leaves open-ended the question of where the line is drawn. Many people complain about ToS being ‘unclear’ but at least there’s something to go by. There is no known policy for what results in a streamer being put on this blacklist. With characteristic opacity, The only thing twitch made clear is that it is unclear whether or when my account can be reinstated.”

Amouranth is also an Instagram model with over 4 million followers, plus has an OnlyFans account and a Patreon page.
