MrBeast’s Latest Viral Challenge Backfires, Proves Costly As He Pays Out $10,000 Per Day

MrBeast YouTube Grocery Store Live $10,000 Per Day

MrBeast is the second-largest channel on YouTube and one of the biggest social media personalities of all-time. Jimmy Donaldson, who goes by his alias MrBeast, has 187 million subscribers on the video streaming platform — second only to T-Series, India’s largest music label and movie studio.

At only 25 years old, he has a net worth of approximately $500 million. Forbes lists him as the highest-paid single person YouTuber in the world.

His channel has skyrocketed in popularity over his last 13 birthdays.

There are three sides to MrBeast’s content.

On one end, he often compares some of the most expensive things that money can buy to the least expensive. For example, he recently explored the difference between cars that cost anywhere between $1 and $100,000,000.

On the other end, MrBeast engages in challenges, for lack of a better word. He spent seven days stranded at sea just last month.

And then there is the philanthropic angle to MrBeast. A large portion of his videos are intended to give back to the community and share his wealth. It’s an admirable venture.

Earlier this year, MrBeast helped 1,000 people see for the first time in their lives.

This charitable approach to content is the ethos of MrBeast’s most recent dilemma.

MrBeast is stuck in a financial quandary.

It all started when he purchased a random grocery store in August.

MrBeast told a “random person” that he would give the man $10,000 for each day that he lived inside of the grocery store. All of the windows are blacked out. All of the doors are locked.

It has been weeks. The man has been living inside the grocery store for over a month.

He has made at least $300,000 off of MrBeast so far. MrBeast says that he “shows no signs of ever leaving” and is concerned that he is going to go broke.

Fellow Youtuber MatPat did a similar video back in 2021. He explored how long someone could survive inside of a locked grocery store and came to the conclusion of over 60 years.

MrBeast is in trouble.

60 years would cost him $219,000,000. It would be $3,600,000 if the man stays for one full year.

There does not appear to be an end in sight. MrBeast will either need to figure out a conclusion, or continue to pay $10,000 per day for the foreseeable future.

His most recent viral challenge has backfired. MrBeast is slowly being drained of money!
