It has been 26 days since Spencer Rattler committed to South Carolina and he appears to be settling in nicely. The 21-year-old former five-star recruit posted his first photos from Columbia on Friday and he is already getting the QB1 treatment.

Rattler posted three photos from his new college town on Friday.

The first showed him and new head coach Shane Beamer at the team facility.

Beamer, who was the associate head coach at Oklahoma prior to taking over the Gamecocks, played a big role in Rattler’s decision. As did offensive coordinator Marcus Satterfield, who gave a very unique recruiting pitch.

Rattler and Beamer took a photo outside of the team facilities and were sure to leave room for Jesus.

The second photo made it clear that Rattler has arrived on campus.

The third photo is the most interesting. Rattler posted on his story with former South Carolina wide receiver Alshon Jeffery. Jeffery, drafted in the second round of the 2012 NFL Draft, has spent time with the Bears and the Eagles and won a Super Bowl in 2018.

The two were pictured together at Halls Chophouse in downtown Columbia.

Known for its premium steaks, dinner at Halls is going to rack up a tab.

The least expensive entree on the menu is a $26 quail dish. Everything sounds delicious, but it ain’t cheap.

Obviously, whether Jeffery or Rattler paid is unclear. Halls may have even comped the meal— who knows?!

Regardless of who picked up the check, Rattler is getting treated like a superstar quarterback in a college town. Can his play deliver the results to back it up?
