A couple of weeks ago, Justin Bieber made headlines after he challenged Tom Cruise to a fight. The bizarre matchup went viral and now there is a new challenger in the weird celebrity UFC fight arena. Steve-O wants to take on Bieber in the octagon.
It all started on June 9, when Bieber tweeted: “I wanna challenge Tom Cruise to fight in the octagon. Tom if you don’t take this fight your scared and you will never live it down. Who is willing to put on the fight? @danawhite?”
Bieber backtracked on his challenge to Cruise only days later and admitted that Cruise would probably kick his ass. “It was just a random tweet. I do that stuff sometimes,” Bieber said. “I think he’d probably whoop my ass in a fight. I’d have to get in good shape.”
Now Steve-O is challenging Bieber to a UFC fight. The former Jackass star talked to TMZ about the brawl and said he already contacted Dana White. During the quick interview at the Los Angeles International Airport, Steve-O said: “I’m sick of being overlooked for my potential as a cage fighter, alright?”
“And with Justin Bieber trying to pick a fight with Tom Cruise, I really don’t think Tom Cruise is up for it,” said Steve-O, whose birth name is Stephen Gilchrist Glover. Finally, MTV’s Celebrity Deathmatch could be happening in real life.
Steve-O said he already contacted UFC boss Dana White about setting up a fight with Bieber. “I already did, man. As soon as I found out, I got in the van, I went out to Las Vegas, I had a little chat with Dana White, and he agreed that if Tom Cruise doesn’t step up, someone has to fill the cage with Justin Bieber,” Steve-O explained. “And I’m the guy.”
When asked if he would win, Steve-O replied: “I don’t know. But I know that I can take a beating. And not back down, not quit, keep fighting through. If he were to get me in a choke, I would not tap. I would go to sleep.”
“He doesn’t finish me in the first round, that’s for sure,” the stunt man said. “Because I can take a serious beating man. I’m scrappy, plus I can wrestle, too. I’ve wrestled my way out of every fight I’ve ever [been in].”
“You know, Justin, as much as I love you, I’m going to have to call you out,” he said. “I think you’ve been picking a fight with the wrong guy. Tom Cruise might be 56, but I’m 45.”
Some advice to young Justin, it’s probably a bad idea to fight someone who seems impervious to pain. It also seems like a bad idea to fight someone who purposely put a fish hook through his cheek to become human bait or someone who wears a “jellyfish sombrero” or someone who shoots fireworks out of his rectum or snorting wasabi or putting a leech on his eyeball.
Steve-O looks to be in great shape at 45-years-old.
You’ve got to put your money on Steve-O right? He can really take a licking and keep on ticking. He can even handle being choked out by former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Chuck Liddell.
