A woman on TikTok recently shared a spooky video of her Spirit Airlines plane being patched up by a worker using duct tape on the wing.
As shocking as that would normally be, honestly, at this point, after all we’ve seen, a lot people would probably be more surprised if a Spirit Airlines plane wasn’t being held together with duct tape.
“I’m only flying Southwest now,” TikToker @myhoneysmacks wrote in the description to the video.
In the video taken from the plane’s window, an airport worker can be seen standing on a ladder grappling with a roll of duct tape as they attempt to apply it to part of the plane’s wing.
“And this is the reason why I don’t fly with Spirit,” she says in the video, as if she really needed one.
“I don’t care if it is aviation airplane tape or nothing. The fact that you even have to tape the plane together? And then you’re doing it while people are on the flight like we cannot see you? This is the reason right there that I will not fly with Spirit.”
She then added, “After awhile that … tape’s gonna lose its stickiness. You flying around the world and you got tape holding it together? Baby, no, don’t even worry about it. I won’t be booking with these…” then the video cuts off.
Hopefully she made it to her destination okay.

In the comments section of her TikTok video (which is a wild scene and well worth checking out), someone asked, “How you gone say “this why I’m not flying spirit” while on the plane?”
To which she replied, “I’m talking about EVER AGAIN!”
“He patted it down so it’s ok,” someone joked.
“Not him tapping the tape in place,” another viewer commented.
“He added another layer for extra protection y’all good,” someone else commented sarcastically.
“You brave as hell cause they way I would’ve had a whole fit and would’ve got kicked off the plane,” another viewer wrote.
“Fly with spirit and become a spirit,” read another comment.
