'Wheel Of Fortune' Contestants Whiff On Solving 'Renting A Pedal Boat'

  • Wheel of Fortune has been going viral quite a bit lately.
  • The latest viral clip features all three contestants unable to solve the phrase.
  • Despite having 99% of the letters, they couldn’t solve the phrase “renting a pedal boat.”

Another day, another mindboggling moment on Wheel of Fortune.

It began in late February when we brought you the story of a woman guessing “Jurassic Park Bodies” instead of the character answer of “Jurassic Park Movies.” Then, a week later, an arguably worse clip hit the internet that saw the contestants unable to solve “another feather in your cap”, instead guessing head-scratching phrases that don’t even exist, such as “another feather in your map.”

That moment, in fact, prompted a response from longtime host Pat Sajak, who took to Twitter to post a multi-tweet thread in defense of the “another feather” contestants. Despite that apparent moment of compassion from Sajak, that didn’t stop him from going viral a few days later for absolutely stealing the soul of a contestant who told the “most pointless” anecdote he’s ever heard.

I’m not sure what’s in the water over at Sony Pictures Television’s studios, but whatever it is, it’s certainly making the show more watchable, as another group of contestants is going viral for a miserable solve attempt.

On the March 16 episode of the famed ABC game show, all three contestants found themselves in an embarrassing position as they were unable to solve the phrase “renting a pedal boat” despite having 99% of the letters on the board, with only the “L” in “pedal” missing.

The errors started with a brain fart as the first contestant guessed “renting a paddleboat”. With the opportunity to pounce on the mistake, the next contestant did the exact opposite as she used the letter “m”, which would’ve created the nonexistent word of “pedam”. Then came the last contestant, who decided to simply flip the “m” upside down and guess “w”, which would, once again, create a word that doesn’t exist: “pedaw”. God help us.
