Elon Musk’s Company Made A Tesla Surfboard For $1,500 And They’re Already Sold Out

Fresh off making millions from selling flamethrowers, Elon Musk have thought to himself, “What random-ass item can I sell and make a boatload of money off of?” Then possibly after listening to Beyonce’s “Drunk in Love” too many times he came to an idea so outrageous that it just might work — surfboards!

That’s right, Tesla made a surfboard. If you’re reading this it’s too late, you missed your chance of purchasing a Tesla surfboard because they have already sold out despite just going on sale on Friday night. The limited edition surfboards were limited to only 200 units and take between 2-10 weeks for delivery, but they’re long gone.

The boards were designed by the Tesla Design Studio in collaboration with Lost Surfboards and Matt “Mayhem” Biolos, surfboard shaper for World Surf League Championship athletes according to the company’s website. The deck is reinforced with light-weight “Black Dart” carbon fiber and is made to look like a Tesla automobile with the same high-quality matte and gloss finishes. There are Tesla logos on the surfboard and can easily fit comfortably inside or outside any of the company’s cars.

It really just is a surfboard. While it is zero emission vehicle, this is strictly a surfboard. There is no electric engine or hydrofoil capabilities like the Foiler Flying Yacht. It’s just a surfboard. To be fair, a $1,500 surfboard that sold out in a day.

I just want to see Elon Musk continue to make ridiculously random products that sell out. I can’t wait for SpaceX to make a fly swatter that costs $400. That shit would sell out in 12 hours.
