Former All-Pro linebacker Shawn Merriman tried out for the WWE last week. It did not go well. In fact, it went quite bad. According to reports, Merriman had bad ring skills and got tired quickly. He won’t be offered a deal as a result. So yeah, that’s embarrassing.

Merriman retired from the NFL in March of 2013. He suffered back-to-back season ending Achilles injuries in 2011 and 2012. Many believe the injuries were related to Merriman’s past steroid use. In 2006, he was suspended four games after testing positive for nandrolone. Merriman claimed he got it from an unidentified OTC supplement.
You could say the steroid thing is just as embarrassing as not landing a WWE deal. But then you forget he went out with Tila Tequila and, HAHAHA!
