‘G.I. Joe’ Character Snake Eyes Getting His Own Solo Spinoff Movie

There will be a new G.I. Joe spinoff film that focuses on Snake Eyes according to a new report from The Hollywood Reporter. The script for the solo Snake Eyes movie will be written by Evan Spiliotopoulos, who has written scripts for Hercules, The Huntsman: Winter’s War, Bright 2, and numerous Disney movies including the live-action Beauty and the Beast. Paramount Pictures will make the movie based on the silent ninja commando.

Snake Eyes, who is one of the original commandos and seen throughout the G.I. Joe franchise, and was played by Ray Park in the 2009 movie G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra and the 2013 sequel G.I. Joe: Retaliation, which combined to make over $600 million at the worldwide box office. No word on if Park will play Snake Eyes in the upcoming film.

Brian Goldner will produce the Snake Eyes movie and has producer credits for the G.I. Joe movies, numerous Transformers films, Battleship and the upcoming M.A.S.K. movie which is also based on Hasbro toys.

Yeah, but will the movie also star Timber, the trusty wolf companion of Snake Eyes?
