Aaron Rodgers is currently in Costa Rica alongside new Miami Dolphins safety Jordan Poyer. They brought a group of NFL players, including Von Miller, to ‘Behold Retreats’ for an offseason trip.

Literally.

Behold Retreats touts itself as “the best psychedelic standard for safe, transformational Ayahuasca Retreats, Psilocybin, and Bufo in legal and therapeutic settings.” Rodgers is one of the most outspoken advocates for ayahuasca in the public eye. He convinced Poyer to try the psychoactive brew, which ultimately changed his entire life for the better.

The latter revealed at the Super Bowl that a return trip was already on the calendar.

Thus, assuming that one and one makes two, Poyer and Rodgers are in Costa Rica to do ayahuasca— or they just returned from doing ayahuasca in Costa Rica. An exact timeline is unclear.

Either way, Poyer posted a series of photos from the retreat that included at least nine different guys who are all big enough to play professional football. There is no official indication as to whether they all do, but it is confirmed that Rodgers, Miller and a few other players on the Bills were/are there.

The timing of this retreat is rather unfortunate, for lack of better word.

Rodgers was either in Costa Rica when the news broke of his vice presidential candidacy on Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s ticket. Or he had just returned home.

Pat McAfee reported that it was the latter. He said that his “source(s)” indicated that the Jets quarterback did not know that the report was going to be released while he was in Central America.

That is certainly less-than ideal for someone who is on an ayahuasca retreat.

It will be interesting to see if Rodgers chooses to address the potential of a career in politics upon his arrival back in the United States or if he will try to let the news cycle play itself out!
