Aaron Rodgers is speaking again about his use of ayahuasca and the benefits he’s received from the drug. This time, he says that he no longer fears the thought of death thanks to the plant.

Rodgers has been heard promoting the psychoactive tea a number of times this season. The Green Bay quarterback claims that it’s changed his life. He’s been very open on the topic, hiding his admitted use from no one.

Heck, Rodgers even had his Packers teammates join in on an ayahuasca touchdown celebration earlier in the year.

On Monday, he doubled down on his outlook, this time noting how the tea has allowed him to live without the fear of dying. More specifically, the fear of leaving this world before achieving everything he’s expected to accomplish.

Here’s what he had to say in an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show when asked about his feelings on mortality by co-host AJ Hawk.

“I definitely had the fear of death. Ayahuasca and psilocybin actually really helped me with that and alleviated a lot of the stress around the idea of needing to accomplish things before I actually die and has kind of taken away some of that fear. I think when you’ve seen the other side, it makes the idea of death more of a passage and less of an ending.”

Host Pat McAfee pried a bit more, asking a follow-up question about Rodgers claiming to have seen death and crossing over to the other side. Here’s how Rodgers answered.

“Well, you definitely see the other side, yeah. I’m not talking about life and death. I’m talking about the veil between the seen world and the unseen world.”

A little vague, but I’ll take his word for it.

It’s definitely interesting to hear the signal caller talk about his use of the tea so openly, and it’s evident that ayahuasca has had a major impact on Rodgers’ outlook on life.
