With the New York Jets announcing that they are moving on from Aaron Rodgers, the 41-year-old future Hall of Fame quarterback is in the market for a new team. According to recent reports, the New York Giants and Tennessee Titans are Rodgers’ preferred landing spots.

With Matthew Stafford returning to the Los Angeles Rams, the offseason quarterback dominoes are beginning to fall, with sports books now having the New York Giants as the betting favorites to sign Aaron Rodgers.

According to Matthew Berry at NBC Sports, he’s now hearing that Rodgers also views the Giants as his most likely destination, followed by the Tennessee Titans.

“The plan, which has been reported elsewhere, was that Matthew Stafford (and Cooper Kupp?) were going to go to the New York Giants and then Aaron Rodgers would go to the (Los Angeles Rams),” Berry reported.

“Now that that is off the table, the game of musical chairs for QBs continues and no name is bigger than Aaron Rodgers. I’ve been told that Rodgers is now looking at three options, ranked here in order of likeliness as it was told to me: First, go to the New York Giants. Second, go to the Tennessee Titans.” [via NBC Sports]

Berry says that if neither the Giants nor Titans work out, a third option that Rodgers is considering is to “stay in shape and wait for an injury/opening on a winning team with playoff chances.”

During the 2024 season with the Jets — Rodgers only campaign as the Jets starting signal-caller, in which he led to team to a disappointing 5-12 record — Rodgers completed 63% of his passes for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns and 11 interceptions in 17 starts.

As for the Jets, reports indicate their plan at the quarterback position is a combination of veteran Tyrod Taylor and second-year pro Jordan Travis, in addition to a 2nd or 3rd round pick in this spring’s NFL Draft.
