No player who has finished his career at Alabama has scored a point in the Super Bowl. That mind-blowing stat will continue with the 49ers and Chiefs facing off in Super Bowl LVIII.
Neither San Francisco nor Kansas City has a former Crimson Tide member on the active roster, giving no opportunity to end the streak.
Josh Dubow of the AP News brought the trend to light this week.
With #49ers and Chiefs having no Alabama players on active roster, a remarkable streak will continue. No player who finished college at Alabama has scored a point in a Super Bowl. Players from 143 other colleges from Coast Guard (1 point) to Miami (84) have scored in Super Bowl

Dubow notes that even the Coast Guard has a point scorer while Miami leads the way with 84 points.
Now, there is a technicality that comes with Dubow’s post which revolves around the word finished.
As many remember in Super Bowl LVII, Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts scored three rushing touchdowns in a loss to the Chiefs. Hurts, who won a title at Alabama in 2017-18, played three years in Tuscaloosa before transferring to Oklahoma for his final season.
There’s also the key distinction of crossing the goal line with ball in hand to actually record a point.
Former Alabama passers Ken Stabler and Bart Starr have thrown touchdowns, but those scores go to the receiver.
Even with those potential asterisks, it’s almost unbelievable that arguably college football’s most dominant program has yet to find the scoring column in the NFL’s biggest game.
Considering the massive amount of talent Nick Saban was able to pump out at wideout and running back over the last two decades, you’d think at least one would’ve both played in and scored in a Super Bowl.
The Tide won’t break the streak in Super Bowl LVIII.
