Alan Belcher has been on quite the run after deciding to return to combat sports.

Back in 2015, Belcher retired from MMA after dealing with injuries that led to consecutive losses in the UFC.

In 2021, Belcher decided to return to combat sports and has been on an absolute tear. The former UFC veteran has won 9 straight boxing matches,4 being in bare-knuckle boxing, and even became a bare-knuckle boxing champion in BKFC.

In November, Belcher defeated Roy Nelson in his return to MMA, extending his win streak to 10.

This weekend, Belcher is taking on former UFC champion Junior Dos Santos for the GameBred Bareknuckle MMA championship, and he believes that beating JDS in dramatic fashion would put him in the conversation as one of the best fighters in the world in any discipline.

“I haven’t put a timeline on it, but I have redidicated myself to making another hard push now with JDS, my goal for this fight is to knock him out in an exciting fashion in an entertaining way and then use this and got into the next one and get bigger paydays at some point I want to be the in conversation as the best fighter in the world, and I’m right there, this is going to be a huge win, I’ll have the bare-knuckle boxing belt, the bare-knuckle MMA belt and let’s just see who we can challenge and see who can beat me.”

“That’s the goal that I want to be in, the best heavyweight fighter in the world that can challenge people in any type of ruleset, whether it be MMA, bare-knuckle boxing, bare-knuckle MMA, kickboxing, karate, whatever it may be. I’ve spent my whole life building these skills and I’ve spent the last few years putting those to work”

Belcher will faceoff against Dos Santos on Saturday March 2nd in an event that will be streamed live for free on https://kick.com/gamebredbkmma
