Kentucky’s Andrew Harrison was done in by a hot mic after last night’s loss to Wisconsin. When asked about the play of Badgers big man Frank Kaminsky, the sophomore guard could clearly be heard uttering, “f*ck that n*gga.”
As one would suspect, this type of shade drew tons of attention and scrutiny online. Combined with the fact several Wildcats walked off the court without shaking the victorious side’s hands and you have a ready-made storyline about how Goliath was too salty to function.
This morning, Harrison realized the errof his ways and apologized for his lapse in judgement.
First i want to apologize for my poor choice of words used in jest towards a player I respect and know.

When I realized how this could be perceived I immediately called big frank to apologize and let him know I didn’t mean any disrespect — Andrew Harrison (@DrewRoc5) April 5, 2015
We had a good conversation and I wished him good luck in the championship game Monday.

While it’s regrettable this type of incident happened in the first place, it’s yet another reminder of the immense pressure and scrutiny this chase for perfection placed on 18 and 19-year-old kids. It’s going to be damn shame if Kentucky is remembered for the lowest moment of a 38-1 season — especially considering the impressive way they’ve carried themselves for five months.
