Angel Reese Stays Cryptic With Post About Acceptance And Love During Absence From LSU

Angel Reese LSU Update

Neither Angel Reese nor LSU have offered any official word about her mysterious absence from the team. They have danced around what appears to be a suspension, but nobody knows for sure.

If the Tigers wanted to eliminate any speculation or conjecture around the situation, they would address it head-on. They have not provided any semblance of clarity.

Meanwhile, Angel Reese and head coach Kim Mulkey continue to be cryptic.

The former has not played in each of her team’s last four games. She was benched by the latter after poor shot selection against Kent State on Nov. 14 and has yet to return to the lineup.

As rumors continue to spread like wildfire, Reese posted a quote about acceptance and self-love on her Instagram story on Monday morning. It was obviously intended to serve as a message to her followers, as well as a reminder to herself.

LSU continued to roll without the First Team All-American in the Cayman Islands over the weekend. Reese used Deion Sanders to chirp her haters while the Tigers were in George Town and showed her character with a selfless act on Thanksgiving.

There are so many questions left unanswered. Mulkey refuses to answer the questions and got into a feisty exchange with a reporter last week.

Nobody knows exactly what is going on with Reese and LSU. The understanding seems to be that Mulkey told her to take some time off to get her head straight and come back motivated, focused and determined. It’s a sabbatical, probably.

LSU will host Virginia Tech in Baton Rouge on Thursday for a rematch of the Final Four from March. Reese scored 24 points against the Hokies last season.

All we can do at this point is wait and see if she is on the floor this week, because the Tigers are clearly uninterested in providing that information prior to tipoff.
