Arch Manning Is Already Running Into Issues At The University Of Texas

There are a number of notable athletes who’ve passed on their knowledge (and genetics) to children who’ve at least attempted to follow in their footsteps. However, it’s hard to think of any family that rivals the multigenerational Manning Dynasty.

That line of succession started with Archie Manning, who made a name for himself as a quarterback at Ole Miss before spending 13 seasons in the NFL. While he had an undoubtedly impressive career, he has nothing on what Peyton and Eli were able to achieve on the gridiron during a combined 34-year tenure that saw each of Archie’s sons secure two Super Bowl rings.

There’s a chance Cooper (the eldest of the Manning Brothers) could have risen to similarly great heights if he hadn’t been forced to stop playing football after being diagnosed with spinal stenosis shortly after arriving at the University of Mississippi. However, he’s done what he can to keep the family’s legacy alive with the help of his son Arch, who committed to play for the Texas Longhorns last summer following a lengthy recruiting battle for the five-star prospect.

In October, the New Orleans native announced he’d be heading to Austin in January to start gearing up for his inaugural season by enrolling at the university at the start of the second semester. However, he’s already repeatedly run into the same issue after arriving on campus.

Last week, someone posted a Snapchat picture featuring the student ID Manning had dropped over the course of his travels. While the person who retrieved it said they returned the card to the football facility, it appears Arch has had trouble hanging onto it since being reunited, as a different person revealed he’d misplaced it for the second time in less than a week on Monday.

I know Arch probably doesn’t want to be a Lanyard Guy (because nobody wants to be Lanyard Guy), but based on how things are trending, he might want to consider taking the plunge.
