Lamar Jackson’s future with the Baltimore Ravens is uncertain. The star passer has been in a contract dispute with the organization dating back to the 2022 offseason.

The two sides were unable to come to an agreement prior to the season’s start. With the Ravens’ postseason ending in the wildcard round, the focus has shifted toward getting a deal done.

The specifics of that deal will ultimately decide whether or not Jackson remains in Baltimore. It’s been reported that the quarterback is in search of a fully guaranteed contract, similar to the one the division rival Browns gave Deshaun Watson. The Ravens have been hesitant to offer those fully guaranteed terms to a player that’s suffered through injury each of the last two seasons.

In 2022 alone, Jackson missed the team’s final six contests, including a 24-17 playoff loss to the Bengals. Still, the coaching staff has designed its offense around their star player, and the drop off in production has been evident with Jackson on the sidelines. Baltimore scored 17 points or less in each of their games without Lamar Jackson.

The signal caller posted a cryptic message online Monday morning, and it has many Ravens fans optimistic about his future in Baltimore. But until a deal gets done, uncertainty will overshadow the QB’s status with the team.

That uncertainty has led to oddsmakers projecting a landing spot for Jackson should he move on. The favorites to land the former MVP’s services have fans talking.

  • Jets (+200)
  • Falcons (+300)
  • Raiders (+500)
  • Panthers (+600)
  • Colts (+700)
  • Commanders (+1000)

The Jets, Falcons, Raiders, Panthers, Colts, and Commanders all hold 10/1 odds or better to land Lamar Jackson, according to SportsLine.com. The Seahawks, Saints, Dolphins, and Lions also made the list.

Fans were quick to comment on the teams at the top.

One person wrote, “Stunned that Miami is so low, and Tampa isn’t on here at all. Going home to Florida is a real possibility, IMO.” The Dolphins have recently showed support of Tua Tagovailoa amid concussions concerns, which could keep Jackson out of Miami.

Another fan posted, “If Lamar is the Detroit Lions starting QB Week 1 of the 2023-2024 season, I will jump off a cliff.”

Of course, for any of this to happen, the superstar has to spurn whatever offer the Ravens make and there’s no shortage of fans that believe he’ll stay. If he does move on, the Lamar Jackson sweepstakes will highly entertaining.
