The Miami Dolphins put up a valiant effort but ultimately lost to the Buffalo Bills in the Wildcard round of the NFL Playoffs.

However, all eyes are on the quarterback situation with Tua Tagovailoa’s concerning injuries.

Well, it sounds like the Dolphins have made their decision for the 2023 season. According to Adam Schefter, Miami is aiming to have Tagovailoa resume the starting role next year. The offense was successful at times, as the young quarterback made big throws to his receivers. Even so, many are concerned about his long-term health due to the number of concussions he’s suffered this season.

Despite those concerns, the team seems optimistic about the situation. “the Dolphins have been pleased with Tagovailoa’s development this season under first-year coach Mike McDaniel. Medical professionals also are confident that Tagovailoa should be able to resume his NFL career next season, if not sooner,” per Schefter.

With the Dolphins eliminated from the playoffs, now Tua Tagovailoa can just focus on getting healthy. Although Miami won’t be competing for a Super Bowl this season, Tagovailoa’s health is more important. The playoff loss might just be a blessing in disguise, as the coaching staff pondered starting Tua had they defeated the Bills, per ESPN.

Those health concerns are going to remain relevant until Tagovailoa can prove to stay healthy. Hopefully, the Dolphins surround him with the best medical professionals. Keep an eye on this situation though, as it’s not like Miami is the most trustworthy franchise based on their recent history.
