After a difficult first day of the 2024 Solheim Cup saw fans unable to actually get to Robert Trent Jones Golf Club in Virginia, day two of the women’s answer to the Ryder Cup went off without a hitch.
Well, sort of.
It went off without a hitch for everybody except the caddies of Team USA stars Allison Lee and Megan Khang, who both ended up shirtless walking down the fairway of the second hole.

So, uh, why were a pair of grown men shirtless in the fairway of the second hole at the Solheim Cup?
Well, there’s a fun story to it.
Bet Gone Wrong Leads To Shirtless Caddies At Solheim Cup
Prior to the hole, Khang’s caddie, Jack Fulghum, suggested that if either player holed out, the caddies would pay them $500.
But Lee’s caddie, Taylor “Shota” Takada, wasn’t on board with that plan. Takada had a different idea. He suggested that if either player holed out, the two caddied wouldtake off their shirts.
Sure enough, just moments later Lee knocked a wedge from 86 yards just past the pin and spun it back into the hole for an eagle.
And, as they promised, Fulghum and Takada celebrated by removing their shirts and chest bumping one another as the crowd roared on.

Lee and Khang rode that momentum all the way to a dominant 4 & 3 victory over the European (and Swedish) duo of Anna Nordqvist and Madelene Sagstrom.
The United States, which has not won the Solheim Cup in any of the last three editions, currently holds a 10-4 lead over Team Europe, with the Europeans leading each of the two remaining matches on course.
In order to bring the cup back to U.S. soil, Team USA must find a way to somehow get to 14.5 points by the end of Sunday’s singles session.
