Another week, another viral Brian Kelly recruiting post on social media. The first-year head coach of Louisiana State University has already made waves across the college football world by grinding on a recruit who committed to Alabama, dancing awkwardly with a five-star quarterback and hitting ‘The Griddy’ while hosting a group of prospects on campus.

And now he has done it again.

Dante Moore is a five-star quarterback in the Class of 2023. He stands 6-foot-2, 195 pounds and is the fourth-ranked prospect at his position.

The Michigan-native has been recruited by Notre Dame since 2020 and was offered a scholarship by the Irish in 2021, when Kelly was still the head coach.

He has visited South Bend multiple times and is considered to be the team’s top target for 2023.

Despite his strong lean toward the Irish, Moore has offers from Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State, Ohio State, Florida State, and Oregon, among others. Also among the others is LSU.

Even though he signed a five-star quarterback in the Class of 2022 and has a four-star, top 100 quarterback in waiting from the Class of 2021, Kelly is hopeful that his previously-established relationship with Moore could bring him to Baton Rouge. He even visited for the Tigers’ Junior Day over the weekend.

While there, Moore took all of the standard recruiting photos. However, one in particular stands out for all of the wrong reasons.

Kelly was awkward, again.

In their lone photo together, Moore is seen crouching with his hands up. Behind him, Kelly is standing straight up with his arms even further out.

There is just something off about the photo. The energy is weird and it’s just one of those pictures that makes you cringe.

One Notre Dame fan even noticed that there is a striking resemblance to the famed ‘Touchdown Jesus’ in South Bend.

Another pointed out the difference in Kelly’s look over the last few years.

If Kelly and LSU can successfully flip Moore’s expected commitment to Notre Dame, then the photo was worth it. But it doesn’t seem like that is going to happen, which makes it remarkably uncomfortable.
