It looks like we may finally be getting close to a decision from Bronny James.

Over the past couple of weeks, the list of schools he could potentially commit to has been shrinking.

At one time, the list included Memphis, Oregon, Michigan, UCLA, USC, and Ohio State.

Over the past couple of weeks, that list had been narrowed down to Ohio State, Oregon, and USC.

Now it appears the Buckeyes have also been taken off the list.

According to a report today from CBS Sports’ Matt Norlander, there is currently a 50/50 split between USC and Oregon as the only two programs that have a chance to land Bronny.

USC and Oregon are 50/50. I get why Ohio State was listed among the finalists, but the Buckeyes aren’t getting him.

This development could mean that we’ll be seeing Bronny play shooting guard next season. He is listed as a combo guard, but both USC and Oregon already have highly rated point guards in their 2023 recruiting class.

USC landed the top ranked point guard in the class and Oregon has the 8th ranked point guard.

Bronny will be an undersized 2 at just 6’2″, but he has shown enough ability as a shooter to be able to play as an off-guard in college.

Joining either of these schools would make him a part of one of the nation’s top recruiting classes. Both teams currently have classes in the top 10.

Hopefully we have our answer soon on where Bronny James will be playing next season.
