We’ve now hit that point of the lockdown where multi-millionaire professional athletes posting a picture of their underwhelming dinners is triggering people online. The year 2020 really is something.

Let’s paint the picture here.

Brooks Koepka decided to grill a filet and some asparagus on Sunday night, which is the exact same thing thousands upon thousands of other people around the world did to cap off their weekends. He decided to pair his completely overcooked steak with a nice bottle of red wine, a Chateau Ducru Beaucaillou that runs about $300.

Let’s remember here that Koepka has raked in over $30 million during his PGA Tour career so that bottle of wine doesn’t make the slightest of dents. Also, Koepka doesn’t make money on Tour unless he performs and makes cuts, but that didn’t keep people from getting mad about his extremely subtle flex.

Yes, it’s both horrible and scary how many people around the world are struggling in more ways than one at the moment, but what the hell does that have to do with Koepka enjoying a nice dinner? Did I miss something where everyone’s new year’s resolution for 2020 was being overly sensitive about anything and everything they see?

Scott Van Pelt didn’t understand why people were getting mad at Koepka for eating steak and having a glass of wine so he decided to call them out.

It’s worth noting that Smith’s tweet calling out Koepka currently has 758 replies, five retweets, and 73 favorites. That’s what we like to call ‘getting ratioed.’

Another person chimed in with an attempt to take the throne of ‘most sensitive person online at the moment’ and elected to give Van Pelt a bit of an update regarding the status of the world right now. It did not work out well for that person.

Koepka’s bank account is far from struggling, but he too is out of work at the moment with the sports world shut down.

Being mad online at someone for posting a picture of their dinner is quite the look, especially when that person donated $100,000 to a response fund last month.

Just imagine how people would react if Koepka actually didn’t burn his steak and had some carbs like a baked potato on his plate.
