NASCAR Star Bubba Wallace Mocks Kyle Larson’s Use Of Racial Slur That Got Him Suspended

Bubba Wallace and Kyle Larson are two of the biggest stars in NASCAR today.

Over the weekend, the former (who is African American) took a tongue-in-cheek shot at the latter over the use of a racial slur that got him suspended for much of the 2020 season.

Larson, the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series champion, was fired by Chip Ganassi Racing and suspended by the series after using the “N world” while live streaming a video game online.

He was unaware that his microphone was on at the time.

Larson returned to the series with Hendrick Motorsports the following season and went on to dominate en route to a championship.

Wallace, meanwhile, is the NASCAR Cup Series’ lone African American driver and has become a budding star in recent years after a move to Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin’s 23XI Racing team.

On Friday, Larson tweeted about iRacing, an online racing simulation game that is immensely popular. Of course, he knew the responses that he would get as well.

“Who would be generous enough to donate some fast @iRacing setups? I’m slow so need all the help I can get…(Queue up the jokes, I’m sure I know which ones are coming..😜),” he wrote.

The jokes came quickly. Larson even seemed to take them in stride. But what he likely wasn’t expecting was for Wallace to chime in.

“2025 cup champion right here,” implying that Larson would be suspended again in 2024 for using a racial slur and then return to dominate the following year.”

Now, Larson and Wallace do have a history. They famously fought following a wreck in 2022.

But by all accounts they’ve cleared the air. Wallace is also known to make a joke or two at other drivers’ expense. Even if that driver is one of his best friends.

So we wouldn’t read too much into his jab at Larson. But it’s still pretty funny nonetheless.
