Cameron Brink is staying in California as the former Stanford forward was drafted by the Los Angeles Sparks with the 2nd overall pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft.

Brink, who was a starter in three of her four seasons at Stanford, averaged 17.4 points, 11.9 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game during her senior season, which saw the Stanford Cardinal women’s basketball team fall in the Sweet 16 to North Carolina State. She was also named the 2024 Naismith Defensive Player of the Year.

Even before Brink helped headline a star-studded draft class by being selected after #1 overall pick Caitlin Clark — who also made headlines with her outfit as she became the first-ever prospect, man or woman, to wear Prada to the draft — the 22-year-old New Jersey native stole the show with her high-cut black-and-white dress.

One tweet described Brink as being “a 6’4″ prime Cameron Diaz with an elite two-way game.”

While it’s unclear who designed Brink’s dress, Jimmy Choo and Jean Paul Gaultier collaborated on the shoes that she was wearing.

The two brands unveiled their exclusive capsule collection of footwear last fall, remixing the two brand’s house codes and a shared vision for ‘powerful, confident and glamourous femininity,'” Jimmy Choo said in a statement. [via Yahoo]

Brink was just one of the many talents drafted into the WNBA that has helped popularize women’s basketball, as Angel Reese was also selected #7 overall by the Chicago Sky. Reese’s WNBA Draft dress was also quite eye-catching — literally, as a security guard at the event was caught on camera sneakin’-a-peek.

You can follow Brink on Instagram, where she currently has almost 600,000 followers.
