The Carolina Panthers will have a new look on November 10, 2022. When the team takes the field against the Atlanta Falcons, it will be rocking some sweet new helmets.
The all-black look is paired with black jerseys, black pants, black socks, black cleats and black gloves to create Carolina’s 2022 color rush look. It goes crazy.
On Tuesday morning, the Panthers started by teasing the all-black uniform with a cryptic tweet.

From there, the team changed its profile picture to a mock-up of the new helmets. It looks awesome, but it wasn’t the real thing.

Not long thereafter, the team dropped its release of the full uniform, helmet and all. The social team deserves a huge shoutout because the video is awesome and it couldn’t be a better way to present the all-black look, or as the team is calling it, its “dark side.”

While the jersey and the pants are nothing new, it will be the first time that Carolina wears black helmets. It feels like it was long overdue because they are straight flames. It takes all of the details of the normal silver Panthers helmet but simplifies it down to just two colors, so the blue really stands out and you can almost feel the black lids.

Panthers and football fans in general have been calling for the black helmets for quite some time and the players are pumped.
“Sometimes guys tap into an alter ego depending on what they’re wearing,” defensive end Brian Burns said. “Whenever a team wears all black, or black accessories, it just brings out that dog in them, the evil side.
“When I saw this, I was like, ‘This will be tough.’ Especially on defense, they call us the dark side anyway, so it brings it all together.”
The all-black alternates are going to be worn after dark, which makes it that much cooler.
“Oh yeah, it matters. It sets the tone,” safety Jeremy Chinn said. “Guys will be fired up, for sure. I know fans have wanted it for a long time.
“The all-black is one of my favorite uniforms anyway. So this is like the icing on top.”
Go ahead and lock in your bets. There’s no way that Carolina loses to Atlanta while tapping into their dark side, right?!
