Ex-convict and radio host Craig Carton made some bizarre and offensive comments about Dak Prescott’s personal life and relationships during a recent episode of his TV show.
The 54-year-old Carton, who is a father of four, said on his Fox Sports 1 show that the 30-year-old Prescott becoming a father is a “mistake” because it’s a “distraction.”
Carton then made disparaging comments about Prescott’s partner as he accused her of potentially being a “gold digger” because they’re not married.
“Why didn’t you tell me that? That changes everything!” Carton says upon finding out that Prescott’s girlfriend is expecting.
“There goes the Cowboys season! I’m a big fan of fatherhood, I’m blessed with four beautiful, healthy children. You guys have kids as well. This is a terrible distraction now for Dak Prescott. He’s not married, right? So now I’ve got to question if she’s a gold digger. She might not be. I gotta question it, right? And number three, you’ve got everything going great, the last night you need now is the distraction.”

Carton questioning the decision-making of a multi-million-dollar-earning Pro Bowl quarterback is certainly bold considering that he spent 12 months in United States Penitentiary, Lewisburg after being convicted on fraud charges and ordered to repay $4.8 million in addition to his prison time.
While Carton is totally out of bounds with his comments about Prescott’s girlfriend Sarah Jane Ramos, suggesting that having a baby at home might impact Dak’s performance on the field is certainly within the realm of possibility, as the rigors of raising a newborn do not escape anybody.
Even though Carton was suspended from WFAN following his arrest in 2017, the New York City radio station hired him back in 2020 after he was released from prison. In June of this year, however, he left WFAN again to instead focus on his Fox Sports 1 morning show.
