Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys won their 14th straight home game on Thursday night as the beat the Seattle Seahawks in a thriller that finished 41-35.

Prescott continued his MVP-level performance on the night, as the 30-year-old signal caller — who many believe is playing the best football of his career right now — completed 29 of 41 passes for 299 yards, three touchdowns, and no turnovers.

Another trademark of Prescott’s 2023 campaign, other than the performance level, is the new cadence that hears him yell “Here we go!”.

Following the win, Prime Video’s Thursday Night Football analyst and former NFL QB Ryan Fitzpatrick asked Dak about the new call.

“Really just wanted to make sure we’re all getting off on the same page. Use the cadence to our ability. The linemen wanted something a little something before [the snap] I guess. For me, it’s to tell them, ‘Hey, stop the communicating. Here we go.'”

Fitzpatrick then asked where it came from and Prescott jokingly put it squarely on the coaches’ shoulders:

“It was the coaches early in the offseason. They’re getting together and I’m like ‘We’re starting off like this? It’s going to be a long offseason.'”

Following the win over Geno Smith and the Seattle Seahawks, the Cowboys now sit at 9-3. However, despite their impressive record, they’re still only a Wild Card team due to the fact that the Philadelphia Eagles currently lead the NFC East with a 10-1 record (that one loss came at the hands of Zach Wilson and the Jets, by the way).

The Cowboys will have an opportunity to gain ground on the Eagles next weekend, however, as they’ll be hosting the defending NFC champions for Sunday Night Football on December 10.

In addition to the Eagles, Dallas has games against the Buffalo Bills, Miami Dolphins, Detroit Lions, and Washington Commanders remaining on its schedule.
