Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott has been one of the NFL’s hottest players over the last month of the season, blossoming into a potential MVP candidate.
The Cowboys entered Sunday’s matchup with the Bills riding a five-game winning streak, and their starting signal caller was a big reason why.
During that stint, Prescott averaged 299 yards per game while tossing 15 touchdown passes to just one interception. The production had him atop MVP lists as his +160 odds bested that of second-place Brock Purdy.
That success came to a screeching halt against Buffalo.
Prescott was harassed throughout the day, being sacked three times and taking some vicious shots from Bills defenders.

He was held to 134 passing yards and picked off once as Dallas was beaten soundly, 31-10.
The NFL world quickly reacted to the poor performance on social media, dismissing Dak Prescott as a legitimate MVP candidate.
“Dak Prescott is sewing up MVP… Most Valuable Pretender,” Skip Bayless posted after the disappointing result.
“Dak MVP was a fun story for a couple of weeks,” said Barstool’s Big Cat.
Others agreed.

Following the loss, Prescott slipped back down the MVP standings. Brock Purdy has regained control of the NFL’s best odds after a four-touchdown performance against the Cardinals.
