Damien Dibbell Plans On Extending His Win Streak At Power Slap 7 And Using His Earnings To Get Him Through Law School (Interview)

Power Slap heavyweight Damien Dibbell is confident that he’s going to keep his winning streak going at Power Slap 7. The 22-year-old has plowed through the heavyweight division by knocking out two of his last three opponents

Most recently, Dibbell KOed former college football star Nate Burnard in the first round of their match.

On Friday, April 12th, Dibbell is defending his belt against Ryan Phillips at Power Slap 7 in a match that will air live for free on Rumble.

While Dibbell thinks Phillips is a formidable contender, he believes his power is too much for his opponent to handle.

“You know, he seems to have a really good chin. So it’s going to be probably a good five rounds to really deteriorate that chin until I could get a knockdown or a knockout. If it doesn’t happen early on…So it’s just going to be proving if I could break through his chin before he could do some damage to me.”

The champ takes pride in knocking down every opponent he’s ever faced, including slap-fighting legend and current light heavyweight champion Wolverine.

“Everyone I’ve gone against has fallen. I’ve got a pretty good slap apparently. I’ve got two knockouts, I’ve knocked down Wolverine, and he’s literally never been knocked out by anyone, even in his 28-round match with Darius, he never got knocked down.’

“I feel like really shows that I have more power than most people and a better chin than most people. So I feel like that’s going to be really hard for Ryan to defeat.”

While Dibbell excels in the world of slap fighting, he still plans to attend law school, which he will pay for with his Power Slap earnings.

“I was able to quit my job for a little while just to focus on training, save up a bunch of money, looking at actually being able to afford law school. because originally, scholarships were going to be my best bet, and I was still looking at taking out a bunch of debt to pay it off. So this has really changed the course of my life and how I’m going to be able to pay for that. It’s just I’m going to have to fight for it.”

If he wins on Friday, the Florida native would love to headline a card in Florida, which recently approved Power Slap in their state.

“I would love to headline an event down here. Orlando, Miami, Tampa even. I’d love to do an event down here. “Bring my friends and family. Actually have a good support base out there for my events to really have everyone be able to see me perform.”
