Dana White is under fire right now after a video surfaced of him striking his wife, Anna, during New Year’s Eve after she slapped him across the face.

Since then, the UFC President has issued an apology while his wife claims this is an “out of character” incident.

You’d think something like this would be considered a big story. At least there is some public outcry in most circles. Even so, ESPN hasn’t done much to cover the story. For that reason, Dan Le Batard rips into the sports news station, as well as Dana White in general for the lack of coverage of the story.

Batard really makes some good points here. Could you imagine if that was Roger Goodell or even Adam Silver? It’s hard not to imagine how differently this story would be covered if it was someone else other than Dana White.

Instead, we’re here with this video of White slapping his wife and there don’t seem to be any repercussions for his actions right now. Perhaps that will all come later but it’s hard to ignore the relationship between Dana White, the UFC, and ESPN.

White’s apology certainly isn’t enough. Additionally, his wife’s comments don’t really help. the situation. Overall, this is a bad look for the UFC in general. Additionally, ESPN’s lack of effort to cover the story and make it a priority isn’t great either. In the end, we just want the news to be covered fairly and dealt with accordingly.
