In the wake of a lopsided 42-6 defeat against Oregon, Colorado head coach Deion Sanders wasted no time in rallying his troops and sending a clear message of resilience.

“A good, old-fashioned butt kicking. No excuses. Their coaches did a good job preparing their team. Obviously, we didn’t,” Sanders candidly admitted at the start of his post-game press conference.

Despite the disheartening loss, Sanders remained resolute in motivating his team to move forward.

In a passionate address to his players, he emphatically stated, “Get your butt up and let’s go. We ain’t got no time to have a pity party. Ain’t nobody walking around the locker room with napkins and tissues.”

The statistics from the game underscored the dominance of the Oregon squad.

Oregon amassed a whopping 522 yards of total offense, dwarfing Colorado’s 199 yards. The first half was particularly tough for Colorado, as Oregon surged to a 35-0 lead with 378 yards of offense, compared to Colorado’s meager 21.

Before this loss, Colorado had been riding high with a 3-0 record. Coach Sanders’ message makes it clear that he intends to rebound quickly.
