Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes are preparing for a PAC 12 opener against Oregon. The trip to Eugene will be Coach Prime’s biggest test to date, with his team entering as three-score underdogs.

To get ready for a raucous environment in Autzen Stadium, Sanders was seen trying to emulate the setting his players will soon see. One media outlet attempted to hype the head coach up for the uniqueness of his pregame practice, which is actually extremely common in college football.

The Colorado football team was spotted practicing this week while Oregon’s fight song blasted across the practice field loudspeakers. We see this often when programs prep for unfriendly atmospheres in opposing venues.

One pro-CU podcast attempted to ride the Deion Sanders hype train even further this week, insinuating that this was something that separates him from other head coaches around the country.

College football fans quickly blasted the media outlet for the ridiculous post.

“Soon, they’ll say he invented the forward pass.”

“Oh wow. If only every other team did this.”

“Welcome to College Football!”

“Contrary to popular belief Deion didn’t invent this or football in general…”

The viral video has become a meme on social media.

What Deion Sanders has done in a very short time in Boulder has been impressive. Quieting his doubters early on in the year, he’s already surpassed many projected win totals the Buffs had for the entire season.

Victories over TCU and Nebraska certainly weren’t forecasted at season’s start, and he’s been able to turn that success into huge money-making opportunities for the university and surrounding area.

That being said, some of the Deion Sanders’ hype is getting out of control.
