Deion Sanders is looking to cash in further on Colorado’s 3-0 start with trademarks surrounding his many catch phrases. The Buffaloes head coach has applied for a number of tags that have become popular following his time in Boulder.

Coach Prime has already brought massive exposure to a program that lacks a history of success, and the eyes on his team have only grown after an incredible start.

The Buffs have knocked off three out of conference foes in TCU, Nebraska, and rival Colorado State. That open to the year has quickly quieted what haters Sanders had in the offseason.

Colorado stunned the college football world in its opener, taking down the national runner-up Horned Frogs on the road as a 21-point underdog. The team followed it up with a pair of exciting victories over its two most hated enemies.

Now, the Buffaloes turn to the PAC 12 for one last go-round.

Last week’s win over the Rams was one of the most watched late-night games on record, seeing over nine million viewers following along on television. It’s a trend that’s continued ever since Coach Prime’s arrival.

After coming off a one-win campaign in 2022, Colorado had its annual spring game aired on ESPN. They’ve had NFL legends at practice and on the sidelines throughout the year. They’ve already had a visit from College GameDay, FOX Big Noon Kickoff, and 60 Minutes.

Everyone wants to watch the Buffs.

With that national attention shining down on Boulder, Sanders is looking to strike while the iron’s hot.

Deion Sanders applies for various trademarks.

Coach Prime has brought insane value to a program that’s been far from a media darling over the years. The team brought in $18 million for the city of Boulder in the win over Nebraska. They sold out their season tickets for the first time ever. Merchandise has been flying off the racks.

Sanders also signed a recent sunglasses deal with Blenders, which has already seen a massive inventory boom. It happened to come at the perfect time given Jay Norvell’s pregame jab at the head coach.

Now, he’s looking for even more.

Deion Sanders is reportedly applying for trademarks for “Coach Prime,” “Prime Effect,” “Daddy Buck,” and “It’s Personal.”

The first two are pretty self-explanatory, following Sanders at every coaching stop. The last two represent a reference to his father and a newly trending catch phrase.

Over each of the first three games, Buffs’ opponents have found a way to “make it personal.”

Whether that be the previously mentioned shot from CSU, offseason trash talk by Matt Rhule and Nebraska, or a disrespectful recruiting trip involving the TCU coaching staff.

Each has ended badly for the three previous foes, but it hasn’t stopped future opponents from doing the same. Oregon head coach Dan Lanning took an offseason shot at the program following its announced departure from the PAC 12, and he doubled down on those comments ahead of a matchup with the Buffaloes.

We’ll see if he can buck the trend and knock off CU.

Coach Prime says he wants to have enough success to revive a Colorado baseball program that’s been shut down since 1980. He appears well on his way to doing so.
