The Drake curse struck again over the weekend as the rapper put a hex on a pair of college basketball programs in the Final Four. He placed a massive parlay on Saturday’s matchups totaling $250,000.

The potential payout landed north of $1.5 million, but it unfortunately came nowhere close to hitting. Drake went 0-2 in that parlay to quickly lose a quarter of a million dollars.

The rapper decided to back Miami and Florida Atlantic on the money line as he rode the Sunshine State underdogs in Saturday action. The decision was one of immediate regret.

While FAU did cover a 1.5-point spread, the Owls blew a 14-point lead in the second half to lose to San Diego State on a buzzer beating shot, 72-71. The game-winning jumper crushed the souls of Florida Atlantic supporters everywhere.

Drake wasn’t the only one to miss out on a big payday due to that outcome, but he was likely the biggest loser at $250K.

To add insult to injury, his second game of the night lost, too.

UCONN scored the first nine points of the game against Miami and never trailed, building a double-digit advantage by halftime. The Hurricanes wouldn’t get closer than eight points the rest of the way.

Not that it mattered for Drake’s parlay as the first game was already a loser, but fans all around believed Miami was cursed from the start due to the rapper’s decision to add them to his slip.

Take a look at the immediate internet reaction after seeing Drake’s massive Final Four bet go down in flames.

Fade Drake at all costs!! It’s a tactic that’s been profitable to many bettors.

Unfortunately, not everyone knew Drake’s picks before placing one of their own…

It’s not the first time we’ve seen the rapper put the hex on a sports team. The Drake curse stretches across football, basketball, hockey, and soccer.

Miami and FAU were just the latest teams to fall victim.
