Top quarterback prospect Dylan Raiola is turning heads at the Polynesian Bowl this week. The star passer, who signed with the University of Nebraska, has put his ability on full display ahead of the annual All-Star game.

It was a busy offseason for Raiola as he navigated through the recruiting process.

Initially committed to Ohio State as a junior, he swapped that pledge to the University of Georgia last summer. As Signing Day neared, Raiola again teetered, reconsidering that commitment to the ‘Dawgs.

The week before inking his signature with a school, he flipped to Nebraska, a program his father played for and his uncle currently coaches for.

Now, he’ll look to compete for the Cornhuskers’ starting role in 2024.

Before stepping foot on campus, though, he’s going through the final stages of being a high-level high school player.

That includes competing in the upcoming Polynesian Bowl, set to take place in Hawaii on January 19th.

Dylan Raiola impresses at Polynesian Bowl

As practice preparations begin in the Aloha State, Raiola is already wowing.

He was seen effortlessly launching a football 72 yards in a team-wide competition. He is noted as the only passer to eclipse the 70-yard mark.

Impressive, even for a player ranked as the top signal caller in the 2024 recruiting class.

That arm strength is noted in his 24/7 bio, with Director of Scouting Andrew Irvins saying the following about Raiola’s outlook at the next level.

A big-armed passer that has what it takes to be the centerpiece of an offense… Owns a college-ready frame at a verified 6-foot-3, 220-pounds… Has no issues generating velocity but has also shown that he can change speeds and layer the football with accuracy… Lethal when operating off of play-action and not afraid to swing for the fences.

A dual-sport athlete at the high school level, he was clocked at 89 MPH on the mound as a baseball freshman, just to put that power into perspective.

Here’s another angle of the 72-yard bomb.

The Cornhuskers appear to have landed a good one under center. Raiola will aim to see the field early and often for head coach Matt Rhule in Lincoln.

For those that want to catch the passer on the field in Honolulu, the Polynesian Bowl will air on NFL Network.
