The Jacksonville Jaguars had a magnificent comeback win over the Dallas Cowboys in their last game. It helped them improve their playoff chances, which is big in its own right.

However, Doug Pederson’s former team, the Philadelphia Eagles decided to thank Jacksonville for their efforts. Of course, they did it in the most Philly way possible.

According to John Clark, the Eagles sent Pederson and his coaching staff 35 cheesesteaks from a popular Philly-based restaurant in Jacksonville. The Cowboys’ loss helped gave the Eagles a three-game lead over their NFC East rival. So, it’s no wonder they’re so grateful to Doug Pederson.

The owner of Philly’s Finest, Jeff Harris, was apparently in complete shock by it all, per Sports Illustrated. Not because of the large order. But more so his restaurant getting recognition by the Eagles franchise. “I was in shock. Not by the amount of sandwiches because we do that many sandwiches quite often. We opened in 2001. A couple of months ago, we just sold our one millionth cheesesteak. But to have somebody call down from Philly was kind of a little bit overwhelming”

Considering his restaurant is based in Jacksonville, it’s cool to see that Philadelphia recognizes his cheesesteaks. Especially the Eagles, who are heavily watched at Philly’s Finest every Sunday.

Overall, it’s just a cool way for one team to show appreciation for another. At the same time, a restaurant receives some national recognition as well. But we just wonder how many cheesesteaks Doug Pederson put down.
