ESPN Reporter Rips Chandler Parsons On Twitter, Prompting Parsons And Blake Griffin To Respond

Off the court, Memphis Grizzlies forward Chandler Parsons may have the most impressive resume in the NBA. The 28-year-old has been tied to bombshells including, but not limited to,  Toni GarrnHailey BaldwinFelicia SandersPaige SpiranacKate BeckinsaleKendall JennerBella ThorneSavannah ChrisleyJen Selter. Abigail Ratchford.

Dream Team.

But, Chandler’s off-the-court successes have been indirectly proportionate to his on-court performance, recording career lows in just about every stat there is last year–games played (34), points (6.2 per), rebounds (2.5), field goal percentage (33.8%), etc. Granted, knee surgeries have stagnated Parson’s career, but don’t tell that to the Memphis Grizzlies, who inked him to a 4-year, $94 million contract through 2020.

Nobody has to remind Parson’s how critical this upcoming season is for his growth as a player, but ESPN’s Jeff Goodman felt it necessary to rip him out of the blue after he tweeted about going to watch his AAU squad play yesterday.

Parsons shot back by reminding Goodman of an old ranking he put him in years ago, prompting Blake Griffin to join the fun.

Goodman doubles down!

Goodman’s disdain for Parsons appears to go back a ways, as I’ve mined up this old tweet from January where the ESPN reporter takes a shot at Parsons, totally unprompted.

Poor Parsons. Just kidding. I want his life.

Matt’s love of writing was born during a sixth grade assembly when it was announced that his essay titled “Why Drugs Are Bad” had taken first prize in D.A.R.E.’s grade-wide contest. The anti-drug people gave him a $50 savings bond for his brave contribution to crime-fighting, and upon the bond’s maturity 10 years later, he used it to buy his very first bag of marijuana.
