Miami-Dade police officer Luis Hernandez Jr. wants a shot at the UFC after being attacked by Sean Strickland. Over the weekend, Hernandez was competing in Tuff-N-Uff against Strickland’s teammate Miles Hunsinger. After defeating Hunsinger via submission, Hernandez began to taunt his opponent, which upset Strickland.
The former UFC champion would angrily rush into the cage and threw a flurry of punches directed at Hernandez.
Sean Strickland and Chris Curtis just went crazy on Luis Hernandez for beating their teammate. 😭#MMA

Immediately after the incident, Hernandez mocked Strickland and called on the UFC to sign him.
“He couldn’t even drop me…UFC I want my chance, please.”
The MMA fighter Sean Strickland attacked is actually a full-time police officer 💀

Hernandez spoke with Ariel Helwani of Uncrowned about Strickland stacking him.
“He said some things, and I said some things back, and he didn’t like what I said,” Luis recalled. “He was saying I was tired, making fun of me, I think he called me fat.”
“[He connected] but I’m still standing, still smiling,” Luis said. “I got a three second knockout [before]… Hopefully I’ll be in the UFC soon.”
It would be interesting to see if the UFC signs Hernandez after the incident.
