The Buffalo Bills are gearing up to host the Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday following a 24-hour delay due to lake effect snow and white out blizzard conditions in Buffalo. Sure, the game could have been played in the snow but the real concern was Bills and Steelers fans traveling to and from the game in very dangerous icy conditions on the roadways.

Prior to the massive snowstorm hitting Buffalo, the Bulls put out the proverbial Bat Signal asking fans to show up with shovels to help clear the stadium for $20/hour and a meal (some showed up shirtless). If I lived anywhere near Buffalo I 100% would have been there to turn the unique experience into content for BroBible. Alas, I’m in Florida and it was 76 degrees here yesterday.

Videos from 4AM show the surreal scene at Highmark Stadium. The conditions look like what would be expected in Antarctica, or more theatrically, they look like the frozen world of Hoth from Star Wars.

Buffalo Bills fans kept shoveling snow undeterred as it continued to fall.

Imagine getting paid $20/hour to go work out AND you get a free meal out of it?! That’s one of the best deals I’ve ever heard about in professional sports. Alas, the snow was still there in the morning:

Sadly, there wasn’t a blowtorch or flamethrower anywhere in sight. The Buffalo Bills seemed intent on having members of the Bills Mafia only using shovels to remove the snow. If they let the Bills Mafia members in with flamethrowers that snow would have been removed in a quarter of the time.

Furthermore, you have to wonder if the Bills fans shoveling snow will make it to the game. I’m not even saying physically at the game, I’m talking about just being awake.

Shoveling snow (for hours) at 4 AM would sap anyone of energy and the Bills-Steelers game is at 4:30. That’s either an EXTREMELY long day for the select Bills fans shoveling snow or they’ll be in a mental state of fog watching from the couch after an incredibly long night in the snow.
