At least one Las Vegas restaurant was disappointed and frustrated with Guy Fieri’s Super Bowl Tailgate after a tiny fraction of the food they were asked to prepare went untouched and uneaten.

While it doesn’t seem to be Guy Fieri‘s fault, at least according to a recent social media post from Yukon Pizza who participated in Guy Fieri’s Super Bowl Tailgate, it appears as if they and potentially others were misled about how much interest there would be in the tailgate.

On Facebook, Yukon Pizza called out Guy Fieri specifically for being misled in their preparation for the event. Claiming most Super Bowl attendees were there for free food from corporate sponsor and not local vendors. They wrote:

“So… @guyfieri ‘s Tailgate was a bust. We sold 10% of the sandwiches we were told to prepare for this event. Turns out, when major corporate sponsors offer up mountains of free food inside the tailgate, no one wants to buy food from the local vendors. We are disappointed in @guyfieri – it’s obvious he doesn’t care about the community of local chefs who worked extremely hard to prepare for this tailgate. A whole team of hardworking events people had to watch as customers ignored dozens of local restaurant booths. Were grateful for this who did stop by.”

At the end of the day, calling out Guy Fieri is both acceptable but feels misguided. He was the host of the event, his name’s on the flyer, and he’s the reason people showed up.

But the flip side of that is he likely had very little, if any, to do with the extensive logistical planning that goes into the annual Guy Fieri Super Bowl Tailgate.

While he hasn’t responded to their gripes on social media, I’d be willing to bet the farm Guy would have wished the local restaurants received more foot traffic at his tailgate and would be disappointed to hear this vendor was upset. As a longtime friend of BroBible, we can certainly vouch for him being a good dude.

The popular ‘Vital Vegas’ account on X caught wind of the story and shared a screenshot of Yukon Pizza’s post. That drew in a ton of interest from Las Vegas locals who all pledged to go pick up sandos from Yukon in the coming days.
