Holly Rowe responds after Arch Manning comments.
Holly Rowe went viral on Saturday night in Austin after being spurned by Steve Sarkisian for a postgame interview. In the days that followed, she received backlash for her reaction to the snub from a select group of social media users.
The drama continued into Monday thanks to comments made by Texas quarterback Arch Manning. She’s seemingly responded to negative attention and hateful remarks received online.
Rowe was on hand for the Longhorns‘ win over Ohio State this past weekend. After the game, she approached Steve Sarkisian for a conversation. He blew her off to go to the locker room.
Texas blamed the snub on technical difficulties. Sarkisian had already been forced to wait an extended period of time for a halftime interview with ESPN a few hours earlier. He didn’t stick around after the game. He, instead, went to celebrate with the team.

Holly Rowe receives criticism.
She rolled her eyes in frustration as Sarkisian walked away. To some, it was a reasonable response. Others sided with the head coach while calling Rowe’s response unprofessional.
Unfortunately, as is the case with social media, criticism of Rowe quickly turned into personal attacks. Those that didn’t appreciate Rowe’s reaction created AI videos of the interaction, one of which showed Sarkisian slapping the reporter across the face.
Arch Manning saw that video. He said the following in his Monday press conference.
“I saw the AI Edit of (Sark) slapping Holly Rowe.”
I asked Arch Manning if he’d seen any edits on TikTok or Twitter after the game, and his answer is gold. pic.twitter.com/70FnNCVEHb

Manning is now under fire for those comments. The school has yet to respond publicly on the remarks, which have led to even more negative attention surrounding Holly Rowe.
She seemingly responded to the social media noise on Monday night.
Rowe shared a message on Instagram.

Holly Rowe seemingly responded to backlash from Texas football fans.
Rowe shared a quote from Dolly Parton about kindness and “being a good human.” It came a few hours after Manning’s comments about the AI video of Steve Sarkisian.
If I had to bet, I’d say it’s at least somewhat related to the recent drama surrounding her interaction with the Texas football program.
Rowe has not made any public comment on the situation. It does appear she’s aware of the negative online response.
