The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport is a man synonymous with scoops. He breaks news like I break wind. And it’s been a busy morning for him with various announcements regarding new NFL head coaches and teams interviewing other candidates.

Around lunchtime on Thursday, Ian Rapoport was a guest on a WEEI Radio segment with Gresh & Keefe to discuss the NFL’s overtime rules after the Buffalo Bills debacle. For what it’s worth, Ian Rapoport says he believes the league will make changes but he thinks it will happen VERY slowly.

About 45 seconds into the segment, Ian Rapoport forgets that he’s on the live radio and drops “oh s**t” while saying he has received a text message and has to go. We now know that he had to hop off to break some major NFL news (Chicago Bears hiring new head coach Matt Eberflus). This is one of the funnier moments I can recall from Ian Rapoport’s career and it’s always great to see these titans of industry appearing normal like the rest of us and flustered by the moment.

Ian Rapoport Hangs Up In Middle Of Radio Segment With ‘Oh S–t, I Gotta Go’

Actually, I’m assuming that Ian Rapoport hung up on the radio to break the Chicago Bears x Matt Eberflus news but it could’ve also been the Ben Roethlisberger retirement news.

Ian Rapoport half-joked about the radio segment after with this tweet while fans piled on the jokes below.

Football Fans Laugh At Ian Rapoport’s ‘Oh S**t’ On The Radio

I’m assuming that’s a joke. If anyone actually cares that one of the hardest-working men in football media said ‘s**t’ on the radio they need to fin da new sport. tocare about.
