There is no shortage of people in the world who are completely lacking in self-awareness, but Jackson Mahomes, the brother of the Kansas City Chiefs’ star quarterback is in the top 1% of that group.
He is such an annoyance, especially on social media, that even players like Tyreek Hill, Aaron Rodgers, and JuJu Smith-Schuster have mocked him.
Last year, Jackson and Patrick’s wife Brittany Mahomes were at the top of a list of the most hated people in the NFL by a study.
Jackson Mahomes is so disliked that when he announced that he was moving to Los Angeles in 2022, residents of the area were very upset.
NFL fans have been openly rooting against the Kansas City Chiefs in this year’s playoffs just because of Jackson and Brittany.
None of this has fazed Jackson Mahomes, of course. (That whole lack of self-awareness thing again.)
On Tuesday, he took to social media with a new video that has fans, once again, in an uproar.
In the video, Jackson Mahomes flashes through numerous videos and photos showing off “his” wealth and how he has been spending all of “his” money of late. Guess he’s never heard of the concept of stealth wealth…
Jackson shows off shoes, clothes, a Range Rover, a private jet, his fancy hotel room, room service, and doing some shopping at a high-end store.
It’s quite the braggadocios video for a guy who no one can figure out how he makes his money (other than glomming on to his famous brother).
“Does he have a skill? I’ve never seen or heard of him doing anything productive on his own,” one viewer asked.
“Look how I spend my brothers money like I earned it!” another chided Jackson Mahomes.
“If ‘riding the coat tails’ was a person,” someone else commented.
“It’s not the fact that he has this lifestyle. It’s the fact that he flaunts it as if HE worked for it. That’s why people bash him,” another viewer accurately assessed.
“Damn bro crazy flex! So proud of your brother for providing you with the money to make yourself look successful!” someone else wrote sarcastically.
Then, of course, there was this…
“What is wrong with some of you? Stop with the get a job comments,” a fan shot back. “He’s a human being and doesn’t need your negative comments. He’s not hurting you or impacting your life so leave it alone. Did you not see what happened this week? Life is short let him live in peace and to those of you who need to critique from your couch you get a life!”
