“Sick, my a–.”

Those were the words from Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones to star pass rusher Micah Parsons on Sunday night after his team’s 33-13 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Cowboys superstar had been added to the injury list prior to the game after suffering from an illness during the day.

But it didn’t appear to slow him down. Parsons finished the night with just two tackles, but one was a sack and the other a tackle for loss as he lived in the Eagles’ backfield.

Dallas held an explosive Philadelphia offense to just a pair of field goals and forced three turnovers in the process.

Micah Parsons Battled 103 Degree Fever On Day Of Cowboys Win Over Eagles

“I took as many drugs and I.V.’s as a man can take to possibly be able to play today,” Parsons said after the game “I just need to go home and rest.”

The third-year player out of Penn State said that he woke up Saturday night with a fever in the range of 102 to 103 degrees.

Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was also asked about his teammate’s performance while under the weather.

“I talk about expectations a lot about myself and my expectations,” Dak Prescott said. “I’ve got very high standards and expectations for Micah Parsons. And he wants that. He’s shown that he deserves that and can live up to them. I checked on him, but it wasn’t much of a ‘how are you doing?’ It was more of go have a flu game-type performance if you’re out here and you can play. I know that’s what you’re thinking. I’m thinking the same thing. I know you’re going to be tired, that’s part of it. That’s when you get to show how great you are.”

The win temporarily moved Dallas atop the NFC East.

But if both teams win out Philadelphia would win the division via the better conference record.
