Jordan Westburg made his Major League debut on Monday night with the Baltimore Orioles after being called up to the bigs this week. He made the most of his first plate appearance, battling through a lengthy at-bat to work a walk.

Cheering him on behind home plate was a rowdy group of family and friends. That supporting crew is now going viral.

Westburg was one of the franchise’s top minor league performers in 2023, hitting .295 with 18 homers and 54 RBIs. The former Mississippi State star was taken with the 30th overall pick in the 2020 draft, and it hasn’t taken him long to move up the ranks.

He got the official call to the bigs on Sunday.

By Monday, the infielder was making his MLB debut, and he didn’t disappoint.

Westburg reached base twice in his five plate appearances, knocking in his first career RBI and scoring a run.

A group of friends and family was spotted behind home plate, showing up in full force to root Westburg on in the rain. They’ve now gone viral for their antics in his first at-bat.

In that at-bat, Westburg battled for a seven-pitch walk. His friends absolutely lost it. He’d later come around to score, giving his team a 2-1 lead.

Fans and media quickly reacted.

One follower said, “Most exciting walk this year.”

Someone else wrote, “The Boys Showed! Love it!”

The Orioles would go on to win the game, 10-3. Baltimore takes on Cincinnati in Game 2 of the series on Tuesday.
