Bill Belichick’s girlfriend Jordon Hudson wrote a resignation letter to her adult recreational cheer team, BlackOut, in which she talked about her relationship with The Hoodie causing the “erasure” of her identity. It also provides more than a little insight into how she thinks and how she feels about herself.
The letter, dated December 14, 2024 (definitely for real this time), was recently obtained by the Washington Post. The contents of the letter were shared in an article published this week with the very apt title “Bill Belichick, Jordon Hudson and the making of a PR disaster.”
Jordon Hudson began the letter by talking about how “in my office and in my household, we uphold the philosophy of Team; Teammate; Self.” Yes, that is the same mantra that Bill Belichick has espoused and originated at the Naval Academy.
“I hope you can all understand that my absences were symptomatic of my commitment to put the needs of my other ‘team(s)’ above my own need for recreation,” she continued. “Selfishly, I would have preferred to be in the gym, with all of you, doing what I love: cheerleading.”
She then wanted to make clear how “it is important to me that you all hear ‘the news’ from me directly.” The “news” Hudson was referred to was her quitting the cheer team.
After apologizing for “all of the ‘baggage'” that comes from having her around; “from the interlopers at practice, to the subsequent media exploitation, to the lack of dependability,” Jordon Hudson wrote, “During this time. I have faced a slow, exterior erasure of my strong, individual identity. I can’t thank you [enough] for helping keep that in tact by embracing me, for me. It is so difficult for me to give up my time with you, because I feel like I am giving up a part of myself in the process.”
The letter, by the way, was written just two days before Bill Belichick informed the folks at the University Of North Carolina to make sure and copy her on all future emails. Probably just a coincidence.
