Taylor Swift has “broke the internet” several times since beginning her relationship with Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce.

First by attending his games. Then by befriending his parents and Brittany Mahomes, the wife of star quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

But perhaps no moment went viral as a clip of Swift, Mahomes and thousands of other Chiefs fans Swag Surfin’ in freezing temperatures during an AFC Wild Card round win over the Miami Dolphins.

Some loved the moment, taking comic relief in Donna Kelce “dancing” to the Fast Life Yungstaz hit. In fact, it wasn’t even the first time the song blared over the stadium speakers.

But others took a more dim view of things.

As Uproxx’s Flisadam Porter rightfully pointed out, “without skipping a beat, viewers at home chimed in to call out Swift for cultural appropriation, given that the dance originated by Black folk in the South.”

Now, the dance has taken off since 2009 and exploded across the country.

F.L.Y. member Mook even told Complex that  “my initial reaction to Taylor Swift swag surfing was I thought it was dope. I automatically knew it was gonna be a good look just because of who she is, what she got going on.”

Of course, it didn’t help that Swift’s insane fan base quickly got behind it.

“Our streams across all platforms is up 700 percent,” he continued. “It’s just been a dope thing to watch everything unfold so quickly like that.”

Fans Turn On Kansas City Chiefs Due To Swag Surfin Hashtag For Super Bowl 58

But now it seems Kansas City has taken things a step further in the leadup to Super Bowl 58 against the San Francisco 49ers.

The Chiefs have opted to use the hashtag #SwagSurfin to associate with their logo for the big game. And people are not happy about it.

The San Francisco 49ers appear to have gained a fair few new fans in Super Bowl 58.
