strong>Kirk Cousins’ future in the NFL was put in doubt when the veteran quarterback tore his Achilles against the Green Bay Packers in Week 10 last season.

The injury could not have come at a worse time for Kirk Cousins. He was having an outstanding season, and was due to be a free agent in the offseason.

Of course, New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers tore his Achilles just a few snaps into his New York Jets tenure during Week One on Monday Night Football. Rodgers actually attempted to return from one of the most severe sports injuries possible,, but ultimately missed the rest of the season.

Still, the recovery time for a torn Achilles is usually around nine months or more to return to full play. So, it’s got to be encouraging not just for Kirk Cousins, but for NFL teams who may be interested in him, to see him moving around like this. Take a look.

Yeah, that’s definitely encouraging. With over six months until the opening of the 2024 NFL regular season, teams have to be encouraged by that video.

There should be a robust market for Kirk Cousins, who is definitely a top-half starter in the league, and was playing like a fringe MVP candidate a season ago.

In eight games last year, the 35-year-old threw for 18 touchdowns against 5 interceptions, while throwing for just under 300 yards per game. He looked as good as he’s looked his entire career.

The Vikings could look to re-sign Cousins, who is not eligible for the Franchise Tag. But, they may want to look for a younger quarterback to pair with Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison. Then, they’d use the salary savings to invest elsewhere and try to make a run through a wide-open NFC.

But, as anyone who watched the NFL last year knows, a lot of teams badly need quarterbacks. Cousins could fetch between $35-45 million this year as a starter for some quarterback-needy team.
